We are saddened by the recent passing of Vietnam Veteran Bill Fraser, friend and supporter of VFW Post 2179, member of AL Post 515, VFW 4303, Middletown Elks 2179 and supporter of the Knights Of Columbus. It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Past VFW 2179 and District 6 Auxiliary President Mary Weber. Our prayers extend to her husband Frank, Past Commander, and their family. She will be greatly missed by the VFW 2179 family and those who knew her.

Family and friends are invited Friday, December 20, 2013, from 4p-8p, to Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ (the Auxiliary Service will be at 7pm) and Saturday, December 21, 2013, 8:15am at the funeral home, with a 9:15am Mass at St. Ann's RC Church, 311 Car Avenue, Keansburg, NJ.

We are sad to share that fellow VFW member and Legionnaire Richie Shannon has passed away. Viewing is Thursday, October 10 at O'Briens Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick NJ.  The viewing is from 4pm to 7pm with a service at 7pm. Obituary will run in APP tomorrow (?).
